Penrozu is the Japanese word meaning 'Penrose'. Named after the method of non-periodic tiling, by mathematician and physicist Sir Roger Penrose, who investigated these sets in the 1970s. Penrose tilings use the Golden Ratio, or ‘Divine Proportion’ - a mathematical ratio that has inspired thinkers of all disciplines throughout history of mathematics.

Made from individual layers of lasercut art board, each carefully hand-assembled to construct the final artworks. Presented in a black bespoke frame and presentation box, using the highest quality materials and UltraClear® glass, selected to minimise reflections and protect the artwork.
